Rinaldo Stefan

Project Executive with over 25 years domestic and international management experience covering Engineering, Procurement, and Construction activities in mining, oil&gas, power and environmental projects, working for major Industrial as well as EPCM companies. Experienced in the development of industrial facilities (iron ore, base metals, fertilizers, gold, lithium, etc.) with significant infrastructure components, various degrees of complexity and sizes up to mega-projects through all project phases.

Proven record of reducing plant capital intensities up to 20% through Engineering and Trade-Off Studies focused on production and financial opportunities in technology selection, process and facility design, constructibility and project execution strategies.

Led the delivery of mega-projects and programs such as Vale Long Harbour Processing Plant in Newfoundland, BHP Billiton Potash development program in Saskatchewan, Baffinland Iron Mines Mary River Phase 2 Project in Nunavut and the development of the Maritime Iron Belledune Processing Facility in New Brunswick.

Erich Glasl

A Project Manager with extensive experience in mining and minerals engineering projects, encompassing coal mining projects, nickel mine developments and various aluminum smelter developments and expansion.

Additionally, Erich has extensive experience in the power generation, transmission and distribution sector, including experience in managing a small-scale company specialized in the upgrading of power station equipment in sub-Saharan countries.

David Colangelo DMC Estimating

An estimating professional with proven experience leading the estimating process for EPCM and client firms on Mining and Industrial projects.  Over 20 years of experience working on projects, studies and detailed construction estimates for companies such as; Hatch, SNC-Lavalin, Lycopodium and Ausenco.

Led estimates for some of the world’s largest mining projects in terms of size and complexity.  Extensive client team experience, having worked directly with corporate clients; Kinross Gold, Maritime Iron, Inco/Vale, Baffinland Iron Mines and Newmont. Former President of the Toronto Chapter – Association for Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) and International conference technical speaker.

Lawrence Smith

Mining engineer with over 35 years experience in project economic evaluations including scoping and optimization studies, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, risk assessments, and due diligence. Author of a number of papers on these topics. His experience includes positions such as Director of Project Evaluations for Barrick Gold, Vale-Inco, Rio Algom and SNC-Lavalin. He is on the executive of MES and CIM Toronto. Larry teaches Mineral Economics as an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto, the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Valparaiso in Chile and Schulich Business School at York University.

Jessie has over 15 years of experience in the mining industry, spanning corporate strategy, private equity, capital markets and capital projects engineering. Jessie was recently embedded in a mid-tier mining company on the corporate development team, formulating and executing on corporate strategy in collaboration with investor relations, finance, exploration and legal teams. Jessie previously spent over five years at Resource Capital Funds, one of the largest mining-focused private equity funds, sourcing, evaluating, executing and managing investments, gaining expertise in a wide range of commodities such as diamonds, bauxite, gold, copper, nickel, molybdenum, lithium, cobalt, graphite, PGM, zinc and mining services. Before RCF, Jessie provided bank financing solutions to facilitate mining clients’ corporate, operations and development requirements in CIBC’s mining corporate credit group. Prior to CIBC, Jessie’s experience at Hatch spanned all levels of design of power distribution to mining and mineral processing operations around the world, the development of mining innovation R&D projects, and the on-site scheduling of a large greenfield underground mine development. Prior to Hatch, Jessie undertook the design of paste backfill plants with Golder Associates, to facilitate ground stability, improved recovery and sustainable tailings disposal. Jessie is a Professional Engineer who holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Queen’s University, and a Schulich School of Business Mining, Finance and Strategy MBA graduate.

Dan Donnelly

Construction Manager for various Industrial and Mining projects, including the 50,000tpy Nickel Processing Facility in Long Harbour, NL and the development of the Maritime Iron Belledune Processing Facility in New Brunswick. Developed and managed comprehensive HS&E programs leading to excellent safety performance.

Led the development of aggressive and successful off-site modularization programs in the fabrication of pipe rack modules, process modules, electrical rooms and large diameter process tanks. Led detailed constructability reviews of various installations and participated in the development and management of detailed and practical QA/QC programs resulting in very high degree of construction quality. Participated in the negotiations of project collective labour agreements and led employers-union committees resolving industrial relations issues.

Utpal Ghosh

An all-rounded, results-oriented executive with over 30 years extensive technical and commercial experience in a combination of project and operational management in domestic and international industrial sectors. He is a metallurgical engineer with a MBA degree and has started his career as a trainee engineer at the shop floor in a steel plant and seamlessly progressed to a role as CEO in operational environment and thereafter from a Project Engineer to roles as Deputy Project Director with a $12 B global Canadian EPC company. His EPC experience includes project management, design, engineering, procurement and construction in mining power, fertilizer, heavy equipment, chemical, sulphuric acid and bio-tech projects.

His 15+ years’ breadth of experience in Operation Management in broad  range of industries from Iron and Steel to Pharmaceutical and knowledge of challenges and constraints include successful turnaround of a $75 M steel mill  and production improvement by 10 % and cost reduction by 15% for $200M EAF Steel melting and rolling complex.
